Instrument Rating Group I
Prerequisites

•  Candidates must possess a Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence

•  Candidates must possess a Multi Engine Rating.

•  Applicants shall possess a valid medical applicable to their licence.

•  Candidates must obtain a 70% or better on the INRAT exam (ground school instruction provided.)

•  All candidates must successfully complete and pass a flight test.

•  Candidates shall complete a minimum of 40 hours dual instrument time, consisting of
   a maximum of 20 hours on a simulator. This includes any instrument time that was obtained
   during the completion of a licence or Night or VFR Over-The-Top ratings.

•  Candidates must have a minimum of 50 hours Cross-Country Pilot-In-Command flight time
    prior to conducting the flight test.

Note:  Flight training times specified are based on Transport Canada minimums and more training may be required.


Piper Apache 160

•  10 Hours Dual Flight Training @ 360/hr................................................$3,600.00

Cessna 172

•  10 Hours Dual Flight Training @ 196/hr................................................$1,960.00

Simulator

•  15 Hours Dual Flight Training @ 100/hr................................................$1,500.00

Preparatory Ground Instruction/Flight Briefings

•  10 Hours @ $60/hr.......................................................................................$600.00


Total  (Tax Not Included) .......................................................$7,660.00

•  Course consists of 40 hours dual instrument training (a maximum of 20 hours of instrument
   may be ground instrument time).

•  Requirements for the Group 1 Instruement rating will be less in the Cessna 172 and Simulator
   if candidate has a Commercial Licence, a night rating, a VFR-Over-The-Top Rating,
   a Group 2, 3 or 4 instrument rating or a combination of the preceding qualifications.

•  At course commencement ensure that you have a copy of the W.M. Aeroflight Training Program.
